Las Vegas isn't just casinos. The area features some of the most beautiful outdoor areas in the west. From the Lake Mead National Recreation Area to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area, from the Springs Preserve to Hoover Dam, there's no reason to stay indoors.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area
A variety of water recreation activities set in an impressive desert landscape including sport fishing, boating, kayaking and canoeing. Many hikes, campgrounds and shaded picnic areas also available for the non-boater to enjoy.

Springs Preserve
A 180 acre cultural and historical attraction on the site that was once a natural spring. The Preserve is home to entertainment, exhibits, galleries, trails and gardens.

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
For horseback riding, scenic area, hiking and biking.

The Hoover Dam Tour Center is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas 9am – 6pm.. It is recommended visitors arrive by 3pm as pedestrians are prohibited on the top of the dam during hours of darkness.
